"Somerset Lung Centre"

I saw a consultant over several appointments. It appears they could not deal with anything else but clear cut cases of lung cancer and COPD. Made some very judgmental comments and later found out incorrect statements on my notes. Stock answer to all patients was reduce medications which proved incorrect and dangerous. Didn't appear to national guidelines, not up to date on medications, no action plan given for treatment and no specialist nurse involvement. They are the reason I avoid A&E and Musgrove where possible for acute exacerbations. Improvements needed: Better training on chronic conditions - Musgrove is generally poor for this in my experience. Less 'old school' approach and that's not a compliment! Less cancelling and rebooking appointments at short notice
