"My Care has been second to none"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I recently came into Queen Margaret Hospital for an operation on my knee. I just wanted to share what excellent care I have been given from start to finish

The staff were all wonderful and put me at ease from the pre op questionnaire to the Physiotherapist who kindly made me tea and toast as the nursing staff were very busy. She was trying to show me how to use crutches and I was light headed.

The aftercare has been second to none and I have come back for physiotherapy and I must say all the staff were again excellent and made me feel as my recovery was there top priority.

I have been offered care and therapy in such a quick time scale that I could not believe it.

We moved from staffordshire three years ago and I am so lucky I had this operation under fife NHS trust and at the Queen Margaret rather than Staffordshire NHS trust where I think I would have been told to come back in 6 weeks and then I would have had a wait of 2 months to even see a therapist.

Well done a service to be extremely proud of and long may it continue
