"Max Fax on call at A and E"

I had to visit the emergency department last night with my 3 year old son who had badly cut his lip the care that we received was top rate. We were seen by the on call Max Fax team. I was given a choice of how we could proceed and we chose to have stitches under local. My son chatted constantly and was really reassured by the friendly caring staff. He was rewarded for his bravery with a teddy and a certificate and I would say he has been left with a really positive experience of doctors and hospitals. The room that we was treated in had lots of pretty pictures on the wall to look at and when he did get scared he was made to feel very safe. I was also given lots of information to best make my choices. Thank you very much, it was the best conclusion to a bad situation. I would also like to say that the department appeared to be incredibly busy and whilst it felt like we waited forever, we was back home safe after 4 hours.
