"Bereavement counselling at a turning point for me"

About: Birmingham Hospice – Erdington

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I contacted the hospice bereavement service at a turning point where I either needed to have tablets or try something else. I am very thankful I chose the latter. I would just like to say that I'm truly grateful for the support and help the counsellor gave me. If I hadn't have felt comfortable from day one I would have not returned. It is thanks to her I feel able to cope and deal with things better. I never thought I would seek counselling due to the stigma attached to it, but now I recommend it. A wonderful lady, gave up her free time and selflessly helps others - amazing. I can't praise her enough.
