"Horrid Hospital"

I was absolutely shocked by the level of respect that the 'senior nurses' had given me. If any way possible I would like this to be tracked down. I had been admitted to hospital and was placed on a wheely chair as I had felt too weak to walk. The nurse called me over, my partner had asked if he can pull the chair with him to get me to her. Her response 'are her legs working? If it is, i'm sure she can walk it'. Next, when entering her room, she tried to imitate what happened to me by physical impersonation and advises me that I may need counselling. I told her what the paramedics in the ambulance had told me, which is that I may have slight chest infection, her response: 'they don't know anything'. After the 'check up' with this nurse, I try to look for toilets to use. When I come across one, the flush didn't even work and someone had left their leftovers there. When asked by staff if there were other toilets elsewhere, they seemed confused and not aware of their own surroundings. I had been told by the nurse, a doctor will see me after 3/4 hours of waiting in the A&E department. I couldn't tolerate the service anymore. I had notified the reception desk, where the reception lady was also being rude to me. Her response "well if it wasn't that serious that you're going home now, you shouldn't have called an ambulance, wastes our time and money." Honestly, just looking back I can not believe that that was a hospital. The lack of care, respect and assistance they offer to their patients is appalling and it's just a shame that no one has done anything to change this. This reputation of Newham General has been like this for years, and still there hasn't been an end to this. I pray for the patients that go there that God stays on their side. The last thing I want is for anyone to get treated like how I was.
