"Labour Ward - Garden Room - Leicester General..."

About: Leicester General Hospital

Me and my partner went through a parent's worst nightmare of having an early Labour to a Still born baby. We were given the garden room. The room itself was absolutely lovely. From my understanding the room was created by using fundraised money to create a room for parents having to go through difficult situations. The room was clean, colorful and relaxing. I couldn't have asked for better staff whilst I was being looked after, including our midwife. She (and other midwives involved) did everything that she could to accommodate to our needs. Although we were left feeling heartbroken in our situation, we would like to say a huge thank you to all of the staff that looked after us. Also a thank you to the Chaplain who will be doing a service for our daughter, and all of the other babies. Thank you again, Lorna and Chris. X

Dear Lorna and Chris Thank you for your incredibly kind comments. We are so very grateful that you have left this message during such a sad time. Understandably, given the tragic circumstances for its use, we receive little feedback about the garden room. It’s difficult to put into words what your touching and inspirational comments mean to everyone in the service. Thank you so much. Our thoughts are very much with you both. Sincerely Joan Morrissey Senior Midwife Leicester’s Hospitals
