"Staff disinterested"

I went to A&E after speaking to someone on 111 because I had very severe, acute abdominal pain. When I arrived I was triaged, assessed to be in a lot of pain by blood pressure measurements etc then given painkillers. Which was great. However they seemed to think that this was their job done. We were there over 5 hours in total because half the time we were waiting the Dr's were doing paperwork. For about 2 hours of the time I was there no one was being called through and the Dr's were having a nice chit chat with the nurses and faffing about on computers. Meanwhile, patients were waiting to be seen. After waiting an unnecessary amount of time the Dr just felt my abdomen and said 'That seems very painful indeed' and sent me home. Without any form on investigation as to why it was painful. Now, 4 days later I'm still in absolute agony and on a 2 month waiting list to go back to the hospital for an endoscope. Shame they couldn't just do it whilst I was there instead of sweeping the actual problem under the rug and masking it with painkillers. I'm a vet and no matter what time of the night or day, charity or private practice we would be struck off if we did that. Staff couldn't have cared less.
