I saw the consultant once in two years, I had one set of scans in two years. I had those scans changed all over the place, essentially the nuclear medicine folk decided on a cheaper scan to save money and the result was scans that were not detailed enough to use. I was referred by my gp with a particular procedure in mind which the consultant believed I had a good argument for nhs funding for. When I got to speak to the consultant about the scans and further movement I was informed that the procedure had never been done at this centre and he had never and would never perform the procedure and I should see another doctor if I did want the procedure. Two and a half years with no care and no intention of providing any care. On top of which their shoddy practises meant the scans they needed for my one appointment were only requested two days (working) before the appointment by which time I was in London so other half gets a £60 parking fine for nothing. UCLH, the university clueless London hospitals.
