We had an appointment to see the consultant. Having taken our daughter out of school and time off work, it was only part way through this meeting, we established that as the consultant was sick they decided to allocate a physio to us instead. I have still not had an update on why this happened. We made another appointment and the consultant told us to make an appointment for ultrasound x-rays, after which he would meet with us again. The appointments have all come through in 2 separate letters but the appointment for the consultant is only 30 minutes after the time for the x-rays. When we called to query this, the ultrasound dept said that we need to leave it at least 2 days before seeing the consultant. We asked why the appointments had not allowed for this. The reply is that they work in different buildings! We now have to ring the consultant for another appointment. All in all this is clearly a waste of time and money and surely some coordination between the different buildings and secretaries would lead to a more efficient process and an all round better experience for us. In the meantime, our daughter continues to be in pain.
