"Poor treatment"

About: University Hospital (Coventry)

My mum is currently in this hospital she has a hypoxic brain injury after having a cardiac arrest 4 years ago. She was admitted on Friday after getting a piece of food stuck in her throat on Thursday evening. She had to wait until yesterday for an endoscopy as she wasn't classed a urgent. When they did do the procedure to remove the food they managed to tear her oesophagus! She then needed a swallow test as a result to make sure that any food or drink goes where it should and this was definitely promised for yesterday. This didn't happen and it is now supposed to be today. The doctor has just been round to say it could be tomorrow as once again she is not classed as urgent. The radiology department works 24 hours, this is pathetic! My mum needs medication for her heart to keep her alive which she hasn't had since Thursday because of the obstruction. This medication cannot be given intravenously. Maybe this will then be considered as urgent!
