"Pregnancy and birth"

About: Rotherham Hospital

After discovering at 32 weeks my baby had stopped growing I was then told by a midwife at green oaks it was my fault. My consultant was very rude and never once asked for a blood or wee sample in five weeks whilst under his care. The elective cesarean in itself was done and was fine and my midwife was brilliant. However after care was terrible. After a week of complaining about extreme pain the doctor finally confirmed I had a huge hemotoma but it was too late to syringe out so would have to go back to theatre. Was starved all day to be told at 10 at night I would not be going to theatre. After delivery on the day it was discovered I had quite extreme pre eclampsia which nobody picked up and my kidney and liver had started to fail. My baby boy was on special care, the special care staff were fantastic and honestly I don't have a fault with a single nurse! However a doctor on special care agreed my son was ok to come back to me at 4 days old only to later take him back because he hadn't checked his bloods and his blood was too thick. The same doctor also went into my room on day 4 whilst I was sterilising his bottle. Took him out of the crib put him on my bed and started to insert a cannula. When I walked in and asked what he was doing he could not speak English and all I got was blood too think! When I told a midwife I wasn't happy she said well if he was on scbu they wouldn't have waited. This made me fuming as my son was in my care and not on scbu. The staff just didn't communicate I was never left pain medication or actual medication the doctor had prescribed and I was never left any food. If I ever decided to have another child I would not visit rotherham hospital. Because of what was neglect and I was left suffering with a massive blood clot for just over a week with no care or concern for my well being at all
