After becoming a day ward patient about a month ago for hodgkins I was unsure what to expect on my treatment days. I can say from the moment I walked in being very apprehensive about the whole situation worried what to expect etc this place was amazing, not amazing like going on holiday, but still amazing if you've got no choice to be there. From a scared worried individual my attitude feelings and outlook of such a place soon changed for the better within minutes of sitting down in the hot seat. Familiar faces of the nurses soon acknowledged me and put me at ease with chat about any rubbish I like. The two nurses who both have the same name are fantastic and always on hand just a shout away. All the nurses are able to switch from a professional manner to a sociable one when ever the mood dictates and the place wouldn't be the same without them or there good will. The nurses and staff are what make such a place bearable and they are a credit to the hospital. I now realise hospital not just for broken bones and having babies! Chris
