"Fantastic treatment after total knee replacement."

I spent the better part of four days in Broadgreen whilst having a total knee replacement. The pre-op arrangements were good, as was the reception when we arrived on the morning of the op. Whilst very professional all the staff were warm and friendly in their approach and very reassuring- I was extremely apprehensive about the procedure. The surgery was a success with no complications' the anesthesia team were great and had me laughing on the way in and the recovery afterwards was excellent, everybody striving to make me as comfortable as possible. My wife and family were impressed by the cleanliness of the ward and by the warm atmosphere that pervaded the hospital. Catering was excellent and aftercare in general. The physiotherapist was brilliant, working really hard to get me going; I had the impression that my success was more important to her than simply getting through twenty minutes of spending time with a patient before moving onto the next one. It seems strange to say it, as I had just been through a painful procedure but when I was discharged on the Thursday, following the op on Monday; I felt sorry to leave such a supportive team!
