I was the birth partner for my sister. First I was greeted very rudely by one of the midwives then we had to wait from 8.30 am until 6pm to have the room to be induced and proper checked. The midwife was very sweet and attentive but the rooms very freezing cold because of a palm with air conditioning (outside weather being hot). Certain midwives are very nice and put you at ease, but when she was about to give birth she was loosing loads of blood and saw the doctor at about 4 am, then never saw a doctor again. At 8am I had to call them because they left us by ourselves. Blood was all over and they starting to panick. Senior midwive (who was chewing her gum with soo much noise) started to help her then in the middle of a push had a phone call and up and left the room! She pushed the head and no midwive were really taking care of her being distracted! Finally the baby out and it was taking over. The new midwive was all over the place. She grabbed the baby and put him on the bed and kind of forgot about it. Blood still dripping they took the placenta off but she was loosing loads of blood. They took ages to sew her vagina back on and about 3 midwives. The baby swallowed liquid and blood and wasn't breathing well, but no clearing his nose or mouth. It's been 3 days now and never washed the baby, never asked his name, saw a doctor 24hrs after the birth, no changing bed sheets, no cleaning floors!! Awful service! That hospital is a mess. Wards are hard to find, no logic with them lifts numbers and wards and floors. If you need food you have to get out of the building and get to another entrance, find a lift and finally get to a so called restaurant (food disgusting and overpriced). Nothing is working properly. Nurses and midwives are rude and should change job for most of them!! Not happy at all!!! Myself will never give birth there ever!!!
