I recently travelled through Manchester airport with my family, when my young daughter become extremely ill with suspected food poisoning. We were on a return flight from Malaga, but due to professional and courteous service by the N.H.S personnel, we were able to continue our Journey back to Dublin on a later flight. My 12 year old daughter had eaten some Calamari in a restaurant the previous night and had complained of an upset stomach, she had vomited a number of times during the flight and when we landed in Manchester, she was unable to walk and was running a high temperature. We contacted customer service in the airport and within minutes, a very friendly and professional para-medic dealt with my daughter (Orlaith) and after taking some details, she and my wife were escorted to a waiting ambulance by two wonderful friendly crew. My daughter was treated with great kindness in hospital and I would like to highly commend the Paramedic, the ambulance crew, nurses and the Doctors who uphold and keep the faith with the founding principles of the N.H.S. As a visitor, my wife and I were overwhelmed by the kindness shown by the airport and N.H.S staff and they even sourced a charger for my wife's phone, when the battery ran low! Now that is what I call an excellent quality service. Yours most sincerely.
