"Excellent Care At Stafford General"

About: Stafford Hospital

My mother who has advanced dementia was admitted to Stafford from a nursing home very poorly and requiring fluids as she is reluctant to drink. From admission to a and e she was treated with respect and dignity from all concerned. She was immediately put on an iv infusion to give fluids. Despite the unit being very busy, nothing was too much trouble for the staff on duty. She was given iv antibiotics and admitted to AMU where the care was excellent and provided her with a specialist bed appropriate for her needs. She was then transferred to the Stroke Unit where again the care was excellent and continued to receive iv fluids and antibiotics until her discharge. Thank you Stafford General!
