"No help."

About: Pinderfields General Hospital

My partner was sent to Pinderfields by the local surgery, after attending with abdominal pain. I left her at Pinderfields at approx 11:30 am. She was finally seen by someone at about 6:30pm. They decided to admit her. Thus I had the task of taking her various items, ie, nightdress etc. When I finally arrived there at about 8:00pm. I was unable to find out where she was. I knew that she had been taken to the "Surgical Assessment " ward, but I had no idea where it was. It wasn't showing on the big notice board in the entrance. All the reception desks etc were devoid of any form of life, there was also a total lack of anybody in an official capacity that I could ask... I eventually went to the "Acute Assessment" ward, where a very helpful receptionist was able to point me in the right direction. For a new hospital, it leaves a lot to be desired. I also object to paying for parking. The money derived goes straight to "Balfour Beatty." I wouldn't mind too much if it went to the local H.A. I could write a lot more but it wouldn't be printed! Pinderfields has gone downhill in my estimation...

We would be pleased to arrange for these concerns to be investigated if the patient/partner would like to contact us directly.
