"Fantastic care from paramedics and staff at A&E"

About: Ashford Hospital

I have a history of palpitations and one day at work I had a particularly bad attack. My manager called me an ambulance when my symptoms were worsening over time not improving. The paramedics (I wish I could remember names) were fantastic. They were really kind and I felt like they were listening to what I was saying and explained everything to me as they happened. I felt safe in their care. At hospital the nurse I had was also brilliant. She came across as a really genuine person and very friendly. She and the doctor brought my heart rate under control and I soon started feeling much better. She was also respectful of my confidentiality and informed the doctor of something I didn't want being mentioned in front of the person who'd come to see me in hospital. I really appreciate everything she did. Later, I was feeling much better and waiting for my blood and urine tests to come back. Although the doctor was respectful of the fact I didn't want something mentioned, in my opinion he was strongly hinting which upset me. But thanks to his care and the amazing care of the paramedics and nurses I was feeling much better and with the medication he prescribed I'm now just waiting for my cardiologist referral. Shortly before I left the hospital the paramedic who'd been with me in the back of the ambulance spotted me and stopped to see how I was doing. All in all I was really impressed with the care I received. I wish I were able to directly thank the paramedics and the nurse who helped me. I am so grateful!
