I was admitted to A&E on Bank Holiday Monday with palpitations, and a very fast and irregular heart beat. After being given drugs, blood tests and a heart e-ray, I was quickly moved to the Acute Medical Unit where further drugs where administered. I was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation and as the drugs were not working I was moved later that day to the CCU for synchronized electrical cardioversion, which was administered at 2. 30am one the day after I was admitted Throughout my stay I was treated very professionally, and with care and dignity. The nurses, doctors, consultants and other professionals were all very pleasant and nothing seemed too much trouble. I can only say how much I appreciate their care and consideration on a busy Bank Holiday.
"My excellent treatment during admission"
