"Wonderful, caring, considerate staff of ward 33/4"

About: Barnsley Hospital

Some weeks after contacting an infection in the wound following a total knee replacement in early March I was referred to the pre op. dept. on Gawber road. The Nurse there were unbelievably caring and an example as what nursing is all about. This nurse looked at my wound and right away contacted the Specialist who did the operation, who came and after seeing the infected area arranged my re admission. After this operation, I was admitted to ward 33/4 where again I was submitted to some wonderful care and friendliness. Previously I had been so depressed thinking bad things, like leg removal etc. but the staff made me feel so good again for which I will be forever grateful.
