About: Worthing Hospital

Had the unfortunate luck of spending Friday evening at Worthing A&E with my mother who had a horrible fall outside a hotel she was staying that required calling an ambulance and a trip to A&E. My mum was in great pain & shock, but the kindness & professionalism shown to her from all the staff was incredible. Ambulance crew, admin/reception staff, nurses & consultants are a credit to the NHS and a wonderful example of what the institution stands for. A & E were having to serve all manner of weird & wonderful patients, during our visit and they treated all clients with dignity & respect, even though they some were swearing & shouting and nagging the staff during their very shift.

Thank you for taking the time to post these lovely comments following your mother’s fall and subsequent visit to our A&E department. We hope your mother is making a good recovery. Our staff feel it is very important to ensure everyone is treated with kindness, professionalism, dignity and respect and it is encouraging to learn that this was your experience. The managers involved have received your feedback and are delighted to be able to share it with their teams.
