"OK if you like staff being rude behind your back"

About: Russells Hall Hospital

Having just had a scan, the staff where most at all interested that I was having chest pain, just asked to keep still. Never forwarn you if you a medical condition causes chronic pain they just jolt the bed. Only interested in making fun of patients where other patent can hear. You don't even need to actually go inside the hospital to experience this. Just be on a bus outside when staff off the wards go home. You would not want to enter in the first place. Also hope you don't get the arrogant doctors seeing you in clinic. Tried to treat the wrong body part!

Response from Russells Hall Hospital

Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback about your hospital visit. We always aim to provide patients with professional care of the highest quality, and so we are very sorry to hear you were so disappointed by the service you received. We expect our staff to behave in a respectful and courteous manner towards patients at all times and so we can only apologise for their inappropriate behaviour. It is totally unacceptable for a patient to feel they are being made fun of. We are concerned by the issues you have raised and would welcome the opportunity to look into these in more detail. We would encourage you to get in touch with our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on free phone 0800 073 0510 so we can look into your comments.
