Referred here as I was diagnosed with fibroids whilst away from home. My experience elsewhere was very positve, however here I felt I had no say in what was happening. I was examined and told what will be the next step, I was given no opportunity to ask questions or given any option about alternatives, and was told to sign the consent form. I was given no time to really take in what was being said. To be honest I felt like a piece of meat on a conveyor belt who was just being processed through the system. There was thought, compassion or reassurance as to how I may be feeling from the hospital staff. There was a student who was observing who was absolutely delightful and I think I would have felt much worse had they not been there. I have questions to ask but have no idea who or how to approach. Not a positive experience. There is also no option in your list below to select gynaecology department
