I had a general anaesthetic for a laparoscopy at the beginning of February. I was the last patient to go to theatre on the morning list. When I came round in recovery I was rushed back to my cubicle and told to get dressed and have something to eat and drink. I was still feeling very wobbly and disorientated but was hurried to get dressed and sent home. I ate a sandwich as requested and promptly brought it back up. I then had to take a tablet to stop me vomiting so that I could go home. I felt I was hurried along and had I been able to come round more slowly, I may not have vomited and needed further drugs. Apart from this my care was good and the new centre at the hospital was a great improvement on the last.
