"Emergency stage at the end of my holiday"

About: Torbay Hospital

After a holiday we stopped in at brixham to see family. Whilst there my mum became ill and we had to call the NHS direct line. She had been vomiting for over 14 hours and they organised for an out of hours dr to visit (on a Sunday). I had to call back a couple of hours later as she developed chest pains. They stayed on the line with me as they called an ambulance, who arrived shortly after. The paramedics were brilliant and as I had to follow them in my car, they made sure that I managed to follow them as I had never been to brixham before. On arriving at the hospital, all staff that we came into contact with we're friendly, courteous and kept us informed at all stages. What was a scary experience, could have been a lot worse if it hadn't been for the staff at the hospital and the paramedics.
