The ward was clean and the domestic staff were helpful and polite.

The communication between staff and the manner that staff deal with patients and visitors.

My Grandmother (90 yrs old!) was admitted to the hospital following a fall at home, she was an inpatient for 2 weeks. During her stay she was mede to feel a nuisance whenever she asked for help and was even told this by one staff nurse and was ignored by nursing staff. When we visited we were also ignored by nursing staff and were given many different answers when we asked questions about her care. No clear plan was given to us in respect to progress or discharge. I understand that there are staff shortages and everyone is under stress but surley you work in a hospital to care for patients, not ignore them?
