"Palliative care"

About: Doncaster Royal Infirmary

My father in law was recently admitted to DRI with a ruptured aortic aneurysm. From his admission into A&E to his passing away on Surgical Assessment Ward, he was treated with the utmost care and dignity. In particular, I would like to praise the Registrar and the Consultant for their professionalism and compassion. Also the night nursing team on SAW for the care and attention afforded to my wife and her sister. Thank you for giving my father in law the best death he could have hoped for.

Thank you for taking your time to post these positive comments on our A&E and Palliative Care staff, especially in light of circumstances and the difficult time you have experienced in losing your father. Your comments are greatly appreciated and will be fed back in due course to the relevant staff and their managers. We always strive to deliver the best service we can to our patients and are very happy that your experience was a positive one. Please also accept our condolences. Thank you.
