I took my near three year old to A&E on Thursday 4/9/14. He had hurt his arm and was very distressed. I was seen in the children's areas first and was seen by lovely staff who were excellent at their jobs. They made my son feel at ease and seemed to genuinely care about making him as comfortable as possible. Particularly the senior nurse she was caring and considerate. She was professional while being able to talk to my son appropriately for his age :-) a lovely nurse. We then had a lovely experience in the X-ray department, the staff were so nice and were able to spend time again comforting my son when he needed X-rays, it wasn't a nice thing to see or hear (my son was screaming in pain at points) one of the staff was able to comfort him by talking and playing; she I feel is an excellent asset to your team I thank her so much for the time and compassion she showed my son, myself and my husband. Throughout the whole experience the staff in the A&E and radiography department showed us as a family what good care the hospital provides not only for the patient but for the whole family... blubbering parents and all. Thank you all.
