I had spinal surgery in 2007 an x stop device was fitted by one surgeon which after a short while came loose and was extremly painful described (in writing) by radio-ographer as a black blob. This was removed and a Colflex Device was fitted by a differant Surgeon,i was told by the second Surgeon it had not been fitted properly, but he denied saying this when asked to put it in writing. This unit did no good at all. so i was sent for all sorts of Spinal injections 2 for caudal equina symptoms , and 6 for pain killing 3 on either side of my lower Spine all in one go, all to no avail. so back once again on the operating table this brought the time scale up two 2010 when the Hospital suggested another operation, this time by another Surgeon, the Hospital wrote and appoligised for the lack off continuity in my care,So back in i went again, I was opened up again when i went to the Hospital for the follow up meeting i told the Nurse practioner that what ever he did was no good as i was still in excrutiating pain i asked her where the Surgeon was and what he had actualy done, she said she did not know, So i sent a letter to the trust asking the same they wrote back an told me that the Surgeon had removed a well fixed Colflex Device at this point i,d had enough and asked to see the said Surgeon they said this was not possible and would arrange a second opinion which i had a nd low and behold after havng a ct scan it was found the colflex device was still in there i had a further operation lasting 5hrs 30 mins the Colflex device is still in my spine to this day so what did the 3rd Surgeon do for his money
