I was referred for fast-track tests and diagnosis following post-menopausal bleeding; the worst possibility was endometrial cancer. I was terrified of even the tests after previous traumatic experiences of internal examinations both in and out of hospital. But everyone was extremely kind, from making my booking onwards; messages did get passed on. The staff listened to my fears and did everything they could to set them at rest - including (and especially) the consultant. I was seen quickly, and treated with gentle respect and dignity throughout. The 'all-clear' was of course the icing on the cake.
"My best gynae experience by a long way"
