"Overworked Distraction During Test Procedure"

About: Princess Royal Hospital (Haywards Heath)

Immediately after a Flow rate test I was to have a residual volume ultra sound. However, the nurse was distracted by two other members of staff accompanying a prospective patient, As far as I could ascertain, the two nurses were trying to get an appointment for the new patient. The nurse eventually returned to me after discussing the time of day and health of the patient's wife, after 20 minutes. During this time my bladder refilled as I had been drinking water prior to the flow rate test After months of waiting to see the urologist I was advised that I had to catheterise myself morning and night, I had to explain to the urologist what had happened and now I have to do the whole thing over again. But not to worry I have yet to get an appointment for this as the hospital is so busy. This since April and my problem over a year!
