I cannot speak highly enough of the treatment I was given last week (Tuesday 26th August, 2014) at the Colposcopy Clinic. One nurse met with me first and was both confident and reassuring. I was terrified but she handled me absolutely brilliantly, informing me of what was to be done in a most friendly and kind way; she is an absolute credit to the health Service and I only wish that every health professional had as good an attitude and manner as she has. She then went on to give me the treatment which was scary but, in fact, pretty painless, and carried out so quickly and efficiently that I wasn't really aware of what was happening (I had asked for that to be the case!). The two other nurses that worked with her were also really caring and sensitive and I greatly appreciated that. I was treated as an individual rather than a case to be dealt with. Obviously, I hope that I never have to undergo that treatment again - I wouldn't wish it on anyone - but if I did have to, I sincerely hope that it would be the nurse and her team that dealt with me. I do hope that this message is passed on to them as these days, there is so much criticism rather than positive remarks...and she really deserves to be 'Employee of the Year'!
