"Shocking use of resources"

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

Took my son to paediatric ophthalmology for a review. The doctors were fabulous, very polite and caring. However the actions of the receptionist were shocking! The whole hour we were there she used an nhs phone to talk to friends, not even discreetly! Didn't even get off the phone to speak to patients and doctors!! It's laughable!! As a health professional myself who would never be so rude even out if work, I was not impressed!!

Dear Reviewer Thank you for your comments. Firstly, we are delighted you found our doctors to be polite and caring. That certainly reflects the service we aim to provide. On the other hand however, we are very disappointed to learn of the actions of one member of staff. This certainly sounds inappropriate and unprofessional and we are very sorry this soured your visit somewhat.
