"excellent care"

My son was admitted to the BCH for the second time at 9 weeks old with what turned out to be several viruses. The medical team were determined to find out what was wrong and kept us thoroughly updated throughout the stay on the various test results and treatment plans. My son was seen by a consultant every day who took the time to answer all our questions and really made us feel confident and involved at every stage. The care provided by the nursing team was faultless despite us being treated on a surgical ward due to need for a cubicle. All the staff were çlear on what they were doing every time they came in to the room and always checked how we as parents were coping and to check we understood all the tests and treatment. We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone at the BCH - you do an amazing job in often tough circumstances and taking that extra time when you are busy to check on and support parents on top of looking after the children really does mean so much.
