"The patient in a cupboard"

About: The Royal Liverpool University Hospital

My sister is currently in your hospital awaiting a huge operation for cancer tomorrow, you have placed her in a storage cupboard , yes you did read that correctly, she is in storage along with portable toilets. She has missed lunch and dinner as the staff were unaware that she is in the cupboard, her son has ordered her a takeaway meL so at least she will be fed. This is a disgrace , where is the patients dignity and respect? Would you like a member if your family to be placed in a cupboard the night before a life hanging operation? Am disgusted

Thank you for your comment. We are very concerned about what you have described and take this extremely seriously. We understand that this is already being dealt with and is being investigated by our PALs team and senior nurses. The team will communicate with you and your sister about this investigation. However, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with PALs or staff on the ward if you have any questions about this. Thank you.
