I had a hysterectomy performed at Doncaster Hospital in January this year. My stay in hospital was very comfortable and I was well looked after. The only complaint I have was the cleanliness to me was unacceptable. I am a domestic in a care home, and we keep it a lot cleaner than the hospital, which at the end of the day we are not doing operations. I can see why there is so many infections. On the day of my operation, I made the cleaner aware of excrement on the floor by my bed. She said it was food but I beg to differ. On my husbands first visit after the operation, he made me aware that the spillage had gone. From what I saw, I think that the cleaners are doing too many other jobs when they should be cleaning
