Sorry it has taken so long to write a review on the excellent staff on ward 7. Last year we lost our father on ward 7 due to a broken hip at the age of 90 had a 50/50% chance of survival as we were told. The physios were brilliant he was up and walking the day after his surgery. However has pneumonia which we involved in his treatment and unfortunately after many attempts of antibiotics we as a family and the nurses and doctors on the ward decided to keep him comfortable. Ward 7 were exceptional standard of end of life care for our father. A staff nurse, sister and auxiliary were the main nurses who looked after my father and we cant thank them enough for the specialised care they gave our dad. Facilitating our mother to his bed side although not well herself, the staff nurse helped not only my father and my mother with our grief but always ensured we were all cared for. My father was very fond of the staff. Special thank you to the doctor who looked after my father and kept us involved in all aspects of his care. I thank yous all on behalf of my father. Please pass on my many thanks
