"naomi maxillo facial and orthodontic patient"

About: The Royal Victoria Infirmary

I left a comment a few weeks ago and after speaking to you I thought the issue would be resolved as I was worried a complaint to the chief exec may have a detrimental impact on my daughter's future care.she attended the pre operative assessment in maxillofacial dept. The doctor was under the impression Naomi would have an appt to see the orthodontist but she hasn't. Ringing the dental hospital gave me no joy. One person could not find her "on the system", a phone number I had been given was apparently the wrong one. I am not prepared to let Naomi have the teeth out only to be waiting months and months again only to find out that nobody knows anything. She is entitled to and deserves more than this as does anyone. Can you please respond.

Thank you for leaving feedback on the NHS Choices website. We would like to apologise for the delays experienced by Naomi in relation to her orthodontic care. I understand that an appointment has been booked for Naomi to commence orthodontic treatment in October which will be a month after her surgery in early September. Please may we take this opportunity to assure you that concerns raised will never have a detrimental impact on the treatment provided to our patients. We appreciate all feedback through any of the channels available to our patients, which help to make the Trust aware of any issues and improve the service we provide.
