"most recent visit to A+E"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital

Was sent to department after visit to house by paramedic, husband drove me there as no ambulance available at time. On arrival staff assessed me and I quickly had a drip and morphine for the pain. Saw consultant and was sent home as I already had a scan arranged for two weeks time. This visit was like chalk and cheese compared to previous visit to hospital. Was referred by my own GP after a late appointment to ward. Got there and was settled in ward in horrendous pain, gave a urine sample and waited and waited. Eventually saw a doctor who asked me some questions and examined me. He went away and after another extended wait came back and said it was a muscular pain and that I could go home. Have just waited for at least 90minutes to be told my gallbladder pain is muscular. Asked nurse to remove cannula so that I can go home, eventually this is done and we leave. You can guess my amazement when I get a copy of my discharge letter describing me as a difficult patient. At no time was I offensive to any member of staff but now I have a bad discharge letter on my file. I tried speak to someone on the ward as to content of said letter as most of the information is also wrong, I was seen by a male doctor, had no pain relief and was not difficult. All of these things have been recorded wrongly but no one was willing to discuss it, maybe this is why I am still waiting on some kind of treatment for my gallstones which were diagnosed at this hospital over 2years ago. A shame that 2 visits can be so different at same hospital
