"Orbital decompression"

About: Moorfields Eye Hospital (City Road Campus)

I had bilateral orbital decompression surgery at moorfields on 20th august...I cannot praise the staff or the hospital enough. At all times I was treated with kindness and compassion, and even when I was padded and could see nothing, the staff ensured I felt safe and looked after. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff on either unit, sedgewick ward and then later up on the observation ward where I was totally sightless and dependent overnight. A huge thank you to all the staff involved in my care, especially to a nurse on the observation unit who was a total gentleman and deserves full marks for his level of caring and compassion....
