"When are Consultants going to interact with the..."

About: Hull Royal Infirmary

I went to see a Consultant on the Vascular ward on the 21/8/14, not only did I have to wait for over 2 hours to see the consultant, when I did see him he actually began to talk over me, I expressed a dissatisfaction with two letters that I received from the hospital contradicting my illness and he began to talk down to me and read the letters out to me as if I was utterly stupid and I had not read or understand them correctly, I told him I did not need him to read the letters out that I had a clear understanding of the content of them. He carried on regardless. After this he gave me a quick examination and ran a few things by me and asked what he wanted me to do !!! he is the consultant in this field not me !! I chose for an option that made that I would not have to see him again, after walking away and reflecting on the whole issue I am utterly sickened by the whole process by him not truly taking my health into consideration and putting the choice in my hands I could have made the wrong decision, I have not gone to medical school therefore I should not have been given such a big decision to make.
