Had an overnight stay after the removal of my gallbladder last Tuesday afternoon (19th Aug) Of course I was concerned about the Op and any possible complications that may have reared their ugly heads but thankfully I've been ok, sore, but ok and continue to take the Ibuprofen and Paracetamol I was prescribed for the after pain. I was offered co-codamol as well but turned them down as I'm a bit wary of these having read the instructions previously a few years ago. My short stay in the Cumberland Infirmary was a pleasant one (not talking pain here) and I was extremely pleased with ALL the member's of the staff and support teams whom I came into contact with, Their jobs and tasks are not an easy role to endure on a daily basis and I congratulate them all for their hard work and smiling faces under trying conditions, day in day out. It can't be easy!! I'm confident my Op will prove to be a success and I would like to say again how lucky we are in this Country that we do indeed have a National Health Service. Thank you.
