About: North Tyneside General Hospital

8 weeks in hospital, little or no improvement. Discharged with no letter, no handover and no mobility aids despite the fact she needed to people to transfer her whilst in hospital. Involvement in decisions was only because of our almost daily persistence. Never saw or spoke to her consultant during the whole stay.

Dear Andrew, Thank you for sharing this and in doing so enabling your concerns to be brought to our attention. I am very sorry that your experience of care at North Tyneside has not been a positive one. If I'm honst there are a number of aspects of your post that concern me greatly and I naturally want to know more so that I can discover what ward your relative was on & why she wasn't given the support she needed with appropriate infomation to the family in the way we would expect.
