In mid August 2014 at around three in the morning I was taken into Good Hope A and E by ambulance after my heart went into AF.
I was taken into the Resuscitation department where I was initially given drugs to slow down my heart rate. This has happened on four other occasions and I have had Cardio Versions before and also an ablation.
I thought that the staff were going to let me go when they had slowed the rate down but then HCA Carla Godderidge came on to shift in the morning and reassured me that the cardiology team were going to check me out.
I was taken to ward 21 where Nurse Practitioner Trevor Nesbitt came to see me.
What a first class knowledgeable nurse! It was within half an hour and I was on the way for a Cardio Version which was really successful.
I cannot thank these staff enough for their actions and their customer service!
"The excellent care that I received from two staff especially"
