Being advised by my Consultant that I could go home!

What could be improved

I recently spent 12 days on Kirkstone Ward, which is what it is, at times a very busy surgical ward. I was quite ill after being admitted with a burst appendix and my only problem was lack of sleep which was possibly as a result of admissions and coming and goings at all times of the day and night. None of this was preventable, it was and is a very busy ward. (Anyway I had plenty of time to catch up on sleep after being discharged!)

Anything else?

Wonderful staff administering excellent nursing care despite the shift patterns and rota's being put together in a fashion that takes some working out. Employ more staff. !
