I have suffered a knee injury and have been in pain for a number of months now. i'm sorry as I'm new to this, but after reading all the negative complaints in the Advertiser and so on I'd like to say how my experience was. It was great!
I feel like I'm finally getting somewhere. I arrived at the hospital on a Sunday in aug 2014 and every member of staff I saw was of excellent standard. Manners, advice, and care given (even when there was a drunk at one point swearing at them) they all shown true expertise.
I'm not an old person who likes to blow trumpets, but I believe that credit should be given when it is deserved, and it is truly deserved in the following peoples cases: The triage nurse was of excellent standard. I then waited no more then 10 mins for a nurse to show me to G bed. The male nurse who was in Afghanistan was of easing nature and and made me feel at ease (I would personally like to thank all these people). The doctor who I saw was of high standard and went far to find the route of my problem. The specialist who came down from occupational therapy was of sheer excellence, even when sticking a needle in my knee she had me at ease and promised to help me get the help I need (which she has by getting me in with the knee specialist today!) if that is not of excellent service then I really do not know what is.
I only hope the excellent work is finished now and they all get recognised for their hard work, great communication skills and care they give, by the higher ranking management now and get shown this thank you comment as a pat on the back goes a long way. Thank you.
