"cataract operation"

About: King George Hospital

I went on for my cataract operation this Wednesday 13/08/2014 was very satisfied with the treatment which I received. I first saw the ophthalmic consultant about 1month ago in a few days I received an appointment to go in on the 13th. Nurses were a bit concerned about my blood sugar and kept coming round to take it, thank goodness it came down enough. The staff and surgeon were extremely helpful, and the op took about 20 mins. After which both myself and my husband were offered a cup of tea and toast. I had a cup of tea and was out at about 10.30. That was 3 hours in all. Thank you treatment centre at kgh.

I’m delighted to hear that you thought our staff were very helpful. Thank you for sharing your experience with us on NHS Choices. It’s sometimes the smallest of gestures that can make the biggest difference, such as being offered a cup of tea. Our staff will be pleased to know how well you thought of them. Yours sincerely Stephen Burgess Medical Director
