"Does what it says on the tin"

About: Doddington Hospital

This was my first time using the service. I was bitten by something whilst camping at a festival and had an allergic reaction. It took me a while to see how bad it was due to the bite being under my muddy jeans. Despite taking antihistamines around the clock and keeping an ice-pack on it, 2 days later, the wound was still hot, itchy, swollen and spreading. I dropped in to the minor injuries unit (for reassurance really) and was given antibiotics as it appeared infected. Within 24 hours, the wound had dramatically improved. I was seen in under 30 minutes and all the staff were friendly and helpful. (This contrasts dramatically to my last experience in Hinchingbrooke A&E.) This is a great service for minor problems when you don't need the full suite of A&E. I would definitely use them again in the future.
