"Angry and disappointed with service received."

About: Northwick Park Hospital

I unfortunately had a miscarriage last year which was handled through Northwick park. It was a multiple birth which I was extremely distraught about. The overall treatment at the time was good but it was handled by the early pregnancy unit. Fast forward 6 months and I am 17 weeks pregnant and decided to go back to Northwick park due to the care I received last time. I wish I hadn't! In the time I have been with this maternity ward (since the start) they have lost my blood results which have had to be retaken. Due to family history I opted for an elective c section and have seen the consultant and midwife who are both in agreement with this decision. Today however at my checkup I was told this isn't the case as they hadn't written that note in my folder (no writing is legible by anyone there) I was made to feel like I had lied about what I was telling them. I told her to go and check with the consultant and see the email for herself which she did. After coming back she confirmed it was fine but then went on to say I'd have to see a clinical psychologist (even if it was in Scotland)! before they would decide to do it and then said I won't get funding and I'll have to argue the case with my GP! So I said "Basically you have no regard for me or my baby's well being as it is all apparently to do with funding" she responded with "Yes you are exactly right" I was absolutely gob smacked. I then asked her 5 times what the next stage was and was told different things each time. To say I was disgusted with the conflicting and apparent lack of communication between members if staff is an understatement. I am in the process of getting transferred to UCH as I am adamant I do not want to have my child here after the treatment I have received so far. They are not professional and have no regard for your well being what so ever unless you are planning a natural birth with no epidural as anything else will cost them and they don't want to pay out for it.
