"Terrible A&E"

About: The Royal Victoria Infirmary

I was taken to hospital (by ambulance) late last night. The paramedics were simply awful! They were extremely rude and when they took my blood pressure it was sky high and so they accused me of being on some kind of recreational drugs! I do not take drugs! I am however on some quite heavy medication but it seemed they didn't want to take this into consideration! I got to A&E where the so called 'nurses' were extremely rude too and implied that I was wasting their time! I sat from about 2am till around 7am and still had not been seen by a dr or a nurse, by this time I was getting pretty annoyed and went and spoke to reception, they were lovely and seemed like the only one's that have brains in there, they said that I wasn't even down on the list to be seen and said they would put me on. I was too annoyed and had to leave. When I got home I had a massive panic attack and was violently sick! I'm sorry RVI A&E but you are an absolute pile of junk I would hate to be in your care if it was something life threatening!

Thank you for the time taken to leave your feedback in relation to your recent experience when you attended the Emergency Department. We would wish to apologise that the attitude of the nursing staff was not to the standard we expect from our staff, and to assure you that this type of behaviour will not be tolerated; your concerns have been discussed with the senior management team in the Department and staff reminded about the need for courteous communication, dignity and respect, at all times.
